Upon arrival on Amantani Island, we will start our day with a delightful breakfast prepared by the local families. They will serve coffee with omelets, regional bread, butter, and jelly, offering a taste of the local cuisine. After breakfast, we will embark on a scenic walk to explore the island, which will take approximately 40 minutes and involve some uphill terrain. We will then hike to the top to visit the ceremonial Inca temple "Pachamama." If you’re up for it, we’ll reach the summit together and explore the temple, enjoying the stunning views. If not, we will visit a lower viewpoint with a more accessible path, still offering breathtaking landscapes of the lake and surrounding areas

After exploring Amantani, we will descend to the port to board our boat and head towards Taquile. Upon arrival, we will begin a scenic 30-min trek uphill from Taquile Port to the main square, passing through charming paths that offer breathtaking panoramic views of the island and the vast expanse of Lake Titicaca. Once we reach the main square, you will have the opportunity to learn about Taquile's textile art, which is recognized by UNESCO as one of Peru's oldest craft traditions. The textiles, created by men, women, and children, reflect the islanders’ way of life, with each piece featuring symbols and patterns that represent their daily experiences, beliefs, and values. Through their weaving, the locals maintain a deep connection to their heritage, with every stitch telling a story of the island's traditions, social structures, and community life.
