Day 1: We will pick you up at... 4 hours
Day 1: We will pick you up at 8:30am from your hotel lobby then drive out Siem Reap city about 45mn then we’ll take cruise ride for 1.5 hours both ways to visit Kampong Pluk floating village. It’s the second largest floating village in Siem Reap. This village consists of 3707 people, 911 Families, 850 houses built on 8m stilts.
We’ll continue to visit the War Museum which... 1 minute
We’ll continue to visit the War Museum which displays some of the military vehicles and weapons used during the long and bloody civil war. Our tour guide will share his life experience during this war.
We’ll also go to Wat Thmey Pagoda which... 1 hour
We’ll also go to Wat Thmey Pagoda which is home to the killing fields of Siem Reap. Here, you can learn about the deadly Khmer Rouge regime under Pol Pot. Our tour guide will share his personal living experience, his families and his friends families happened during the war and genocide period. We'll drive back to Siem Reap and go to visit Wat Thmey Pagoda. Here, you'll see the Siem Reap killing fields. where you can learn about the brutal Khmer Rouge Regime
DAY2: We will come and pick you up early in the morning at 5am 4 hours
DAY2: We will come and pick you up early in the morning at 5am . We will then take the short journey out to Angkor Wat and watch the sun rises over the majestic temple structure. After the sunrise, we will explore Angkor Wat temple and I will explain the history and architecture to you.
After Angkor Wat, we’ll head over to Ta Prohm temple 1 hour 30 minutes
After Angkor Wat, we’ll head over to Ta Prohm temple. Before visiting this temple you can stop for restroom and breakfast. Ta Prohm temple was built in the Bayon style in the late 12th and early 13th century. Ta Prohm was originally built as a Buddhist monastery and university. One of the unique features of Ta Prohm is that it has largely been left to the jungle and the trees are literally growing right through the middle of the temple. Ta Prohm is one of the most popular temples in Siem Reap as it was used as the location for the Tomb Raider movie featuring Angelina Jolie.
We will then head over to Prasat Banteay... 30 minutes
We will then head over to Prasat Banteay Kdei which means “A Citadel of Chambers” in English. This Buddhist temple was again built in the late 12th and early 13th century by King Jayavarman VII. This temple is always quiet because it is not the famous temple, very pleasant to walk through it after visiting 2 famous temples before returning back to hotel for refreshing.
In the afternoon is Angkor Thom, the ancient capital city of the Khmer Empire 3 minutes
In the afternoon is Angkor Thom, the ancient capital city of the Khmer Empire. Here we can see lots of things including the Royal Palace, the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King, Bayon temple, and more. Finally, we’ll head over to the South Gate of Angkor Thom to watch an take photos of sunset over the moat ( man made lake) from the a bridge flanked by 2 rows of 54 giant sandstone statues before taking you safely back to your hotel.
