Originally built as a place of Christian worship, it was transformed into a mosque during Arab rule, in 831, and then returned to Christianity with the arrival of the Normans. Inside, the tombs of Norman rulers are preserved, admission to the cathedral is free, while there is a ticket to access the crypts, mausoleums and rooftops, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city. This is the beginning of our tour, but your journey to discover Palermo can continue on foot along Via Vittorio Emanuele, crossing a pedestrian area full of charm.
