Tongariro Alpine Crossing – Private Transfer from Auckland (2 Days) Travel from Auckland to Tongariro National Park with a comfortable private transfer and experience one of New Zealand’s most famous landscapes. Day 1: Depart Auckland and travel south to Tongariro National Park. Along the way, you may stop to explore the geothermal areas and volcanic scenery in the region before arriving at your accommodation near the park. Day 2: We will arrange a licensed shuttle from your accommodation to the start of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and pick-up at the end of the hike. Please note: The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a self-guided hike. This service is transport only, and our driver will not accompany you on the track. Guests are responsible for completing the hike and ensuring they are prepared for weather and track conditions. After the hike, the shuttle returns you to the meeting point and we continue the private transfer back to Auckland.

Tongariro Alpine Crossing : Self guided walk Your journey begins with an early morning departure from accommodation near Tongariro National Park (around 5:00–6:00 AM). Guests will then be transferred by a licensed Tongariro shuttle service to the trailhead at Mangatepopo, where the Tongariro Alpine Crossing begins. The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a 19.4 km (12-mile) hike through one of New Zealand’s most dramatic volcanic landscapes. The trail passes through the Mangatepopo Valley, where you will see unique volcanic formations, steaming vents, and rugged alpine terrain. The hike finishes at the Ketetahi car park, where the licensed shuttle will pick you up and return you to the meeting point. After the adventure, we continue the journey back to Auckland.
