Jing'an Villa, a hidden residential neighbourhood that survives... 45 minutes
Jing'an Villa, a hidden residential neighbourhood that survives between the skyscrapers. Built in 1930s, these olden days architecture survives along Shanghainese grandparents who probably lived here all their lives. We can walk through this quiet neighbourhood and talk to the local people, get the feeling how Shanghai people's normal life. Next to it, there's another neighbourhood called Anlefang, which was also built in 1930s for working class, where we can compare the difference between upper and working class in Shanghai at that time. There's a kind uncle who is willing to share his interesting life there.
