Tour Itinerary
After picking you up from the selected pickup... 2 hours
After picking you up from the selected pickup point in Reykjavik, we will head towards the western region of Iceland known for its dramatic landscapes - the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.
Prepare your cameras for the most photographed mountain in the country 40 minutes
Prepare your cameras for the most photographed mountain in the country! Our first highlight of the day is a 463m-high mountain on the north coast of Iceland's Snæfellsnes peninsula, near the town of Grundarfjörður. The name Kirkjufell means "Church Mountain" as it is considered to resemble a church.
Our next highlight is a sandy beach and... 35 minutes
Our next highlight is a sandy beach and bay on the foot of Snæfellsjökull glacier in Iceland. Your guide will tell you some interesting stories about the fishing village and of shipwrecks that lie on the beach.
Just headed to the east side, we will... 15 minutes
Just headed to the east side, we will stop at Búðakirkja, the 19th-century church. The original church was built in 1703 but, due to a lack of attendees, the church was torn down and rebuilt in 1987. In recent years this minimalistic building surrounded by mountains and the rough nature of Iceland became a very popular object for photographers, so don't forget to take a few shots for your gallery there!
Our next stop is a smaller fishing village Arnarstapi 45 minutes
Our next stop is a smaller fishing village Arnarstapi. We will be able to enjoy the walk on the scenic coastline and the opportunity to visit Miðgjá stone bridge, a natural rock arch off the coast.
