The oldest building remains of the temple still visible today come from the 12 dynasty under the Pharaoh Sesostris. Outstanding among the ruins are the Temples of Amun-Re with a total of ten pylons. The total area of the temple is about 30 hectares. The largest area of the temple complex is the Amun district. Among other things, you can see the holy lake, the red chapel, the white chapel as well as the alabaster chapel and the temple of Opet. Of course, there is a lot more to explore in the Karnak Temple.
