We’ll start by exploring Sakurajima, a unique island in Kagoshima Bay having one of the most active volcanoes in Japan, with frequent small eruptions and smoke coming out of the crater. After landing, we will travel around the island, visiting the Yunohira Lookout, Akamizu Observatory Square, Arimura Lava Lookout, and Kurokami Buried Shrine Gate. Climbing to the Yunohira Lookout halfway up the Mt. Sakurajima, you can look out over Kirishima in the distance on a clear day.
