Two-story Pagoda style Tal Barahi Temple lies in the Kaski District of Nepal. Situated in the middle of Phewa Lake this temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. The temple was above the lake before King Kulmandhan Shah (The first Shah king of Kaski) according to the dream he had seen. The great devotee of Goddess Durga, King Kulmandhan Shah constructed the temple in the middle island of Lake Phewa.

The waterfall has a length of 500 meters and a depth of 100 feet. Though the waterfall flows all year round it is best viewed from June to September. An interesting note about the waterfall is that it runs down some rocks before disappearing into an underground tunnel leading to Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. The waterfalls modern name is constantly debated. Its official name is Patale Chango. However, it's most popularly known as Davis Falls or Devis Falls due to a typographical mistake.

The cave is said to be have been discovered in the 16th century. The main cave entrance was not constructed until 1991. The main cave contains two chambers with several shrines located throughout. The largest of these shrines are dedicated to Shiva. There is lighting but it's only a series of small light bulbs. While primarily a religious site, the cow is a statue over a Shiva lingam. It's being developed as a tourist attraction these days. Continuing on the 40 or so meters down the cave passing other small statues and shrines you'll come across the main Shiva temple which has a strict rule about no photography. Continue on past the temple to the second part of the cave which is about 140 meters in length. Here the walls open up and you can see some nice colours in the cave walls. Further again and you'll come across a metal staircase leading downwards. You'll hear the waterfall ahead from here. Once you have descended the staircase you will have to walk across some uneven rocky ground until you get to an area with a view of the waterfall.

Pokhara Shanti Stupa or World Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda-style monument on Anadu Hill of the former Pumdi Bhumdi Village Development Committee, in the district of Kaski, Nepal. Standing on top of the Anadu Hill, Shanti Stupa provides a panoramic view of the Annapurna range, Pokhara city and Fewa Lake. It is a perfect holiday place providing a clear view of the Himalayan range, Fewa Lake and Pokhara city. The hilltop provides a splendid view of sunrise and sunset. The pagoda is 7 kilometres from Mahendrapool, the major business spot in Pokhara.

The cave gets its name from the former King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. This cave was discovered in the late 1950s by young shepherds of Pokhara. Since then it has remained one of the most visited places in Pokhara. It was first properly surveyed in 1976 by a small team of spelaeologists from the UK including Jane Wilson-Howarth who documented the animals that lived in the dark zone of the cave] Copies of the expedition report are lodged with the UK copyright libraries and at the Royal Geographical Society.

The white pagoda-styled building of the Hindu Bindabasini Temple quietly sits at some 3000 feet above sea level along the renowned Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountain ranges. It is located near the busy Old Bazaar of Pokhara, a center of commerce in the Himalayas. Bindabasini temple or Bindhyabasini Mandir is of great religious importance to Hindus living in the Pokhara region. It is a vital hub of religious fervor. The temple itself is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga, who is Pokhara’s chosen guardian deity. Durga, also known as Shakti or Kali has numerous manifestations and at the Bindabasini temple she is seen as Bhagwati, a blood-thirsty aspect of the goddess. Durga appears in the form of a Saligram. A Saligram, according to Hindu mythology is a propitious stone. It is said that the temple was created after the goddess ordered king Khadag Bum Malla to set up her statue here. The Bindabasini temple was then founded in BS 1845. Since its establishment, Bhagwati has been an object of worship here on a daily basis. Animal sacrifices are typically presented at the temple on Saturdays and Tuesdays. The Hindu festival of Dashain sees large numbers of believers coming to offer sacrifices at Binhyabasini Mandir. Indeed, there is little space for tourists during the festival of Dashain.

From here, you can see a panoramic sweep of Himalayan peaks, from Dhaulagiri (8167m) in the west to the perfect pyramid of Machhapuchhare (6997m), the tent-like peak of Annapurna II (7937m) to Lamjung (6983m) in the east. Most people come here at dawn or dusk, when the sun picks out the peaks, transforming them from a purple-pink to a celestial gold. If you feel noisy teenagers are ruining the peace at the viewing tower, try walking further along to the secluded grassy helicopter pad.
