BREWERY EXCURSION AND BEER TASTING: The main program of this tour is the excursion of the Pilsner Urquell Brewery including beer tasting. You will join a group tour conducted by a brewery guide. During the excursion you will discover the history of the beer that inspired more than two-thirds of all beers worldwide! The first golden lager Pilsner Urquell in the world saw the light of day in 1842. Pilsner beer is still made from the same high-quality Czech ingredients, using the same original process. You will also visit the brewery cellars. You will learn what a fermenting tub is and what we call a beer blanket. Pilsner Urguell still brews some of its beer in these premises just like the first brewmaster, Josef Groll, did by fermenting beer in open tuns and maturing it in oak barrels. Adult visitors will have a chance to try unfiltered and unpasteurized Pilsner Urquell poured straight from an oak barrel.
