Starting at Kulturkirken Jakob we will first move into the Grünerløkka district. You have probably heard that it is known for bars, restaurants, and independent shops, but I will also tell you about the area's really interesting history.

Here we will discover a very photogenic creative... 10 minutes

Here we will discover a very photogenic creative arts and music hub right by the river.

Along delightful paths, we will follow the river... 10 minutes

Along delightful paths, we will follow the river upstream to Vulkan, a model for green urban living, with cutting edge venues and Oslo’s best food hall.

We will then make your way along cobbled... 10 minutes

We will then make your way along cobbled Damstredet with its charming, small, wooden houses from the early 19th century.

At the top of the hill we will... 15 minutes

At the top of the hill we will visit the Cemetery of the Saviour, a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city, where the final resting places of Edvard Munch and Henrik Ibsen can be found.

If you like we will stop for tea, coffee or a delicious waffle (at your own cost) at Hønse-Lovisas house, a cute spot right on top of one of the waterfalls.

We will then head back into the hustle and bustle of Grünerløkka 25 minutes

We will then head back into the hustle and bustle of Grünerløkka. Weaving your way through numerous lesser known streets packed with history, we will pass award winning cafes, buzzing hangout spots, and I can point out my favorite cocktail bars and restaurants. Depending on your wishes, the tour will either finish at one of the tram stops in Grünerløkka or at Ankerbrua, close to where we started.
