We then continue to Ambatolampy, a hotspot for Malagasy crafts, where you can discover the traditional workshops for making aluminium utensils, testimonies of ancestral know-how. Several stops are planned to visit these typical villages and exchange with local craftsmen. At the end of the afternoon, we take the road to Antsirabe, nicknamed the "capital of the water city" because of its thermal springs and peaceful atmosphere. A stop at the Asabotsy Point of Sale, one of Madagascar’s largest and liveliest, will allow you to explore stalls full of local products, crafts and spices with mesmerizing scents. The route continues to Independence Square, where there is a monument offering breathtaking views of the Inn of Thermal Baths and the old train station, witnesses of the city’s colonial past. For nature lovers and hikers, an excursion around Lake Tritriva is offered.
