We’ll take the train from Mitaki Station. Your guide will accompany you all the way to Hiroshima Station, which is two stops from Mitaki. If you prefer, you may also get off at Yokogawa Station (the next stop) or Hakushima Station (the one after that), before reaching Hiroshima.

This part of the tour serves as an introduction to the main experience at Mitaki Temple, helping you understand the reality of the atomic bombing and providing context for the places you’ll visit later. After the walk, we will take a local bus from the Atomic Bomb Dome area to the Mitaki area.

After getting off the bus, we’ll walk to Mitaki Temple at a relaxed pace, stopping at a few points of interest along the way while listening to the guide’s explanations. The walk takes about 10 minutes. At Mitaki Temple (admission included), your guide will lead you through the quiet, wooded temple grounds, where you’ll see preserved atomic-bombed structures, the temple’s pagoda, stone Buddhist statues, and monuments related to peace and remembrance. Through this visit, you’ll gain insight into the historical context of Hiroshima after the atomic bombing. After the visit, we’ll walk to Mitaki Station and take the train back to central Hiroshima.
