- You are highly recommended to dress appropriately for visiting a mountain resort 1,500 meters above sea level. Walking/hiking shoes, waterproofs, and additional layers are recommended as the weather is volatile (usually 5-10 degrees Celsius lower than Matsumoto, the nearest town at the foot of the mountains.) Early Spring can see temperatures dip below 0 degrees Celsius. Even in the heights of summer, temperatures can go below 10 degrees and snow in May is not unheard of.
- Drop-off Locations in Kamikochi: You can choose between 2 drop-off points: 1.Taisho Pond 2.Kamikochi Bus Terminal. Please note that the return pick-up location will only be at Kamikochi Bus Terminal.
- This tour is operated for both Japanese and foreign customers. A Japanese tour conductor will accompany the group and provide key information using a translation app. Please note that the tour conductor is not a tour guide and will focus on sharing essential information during the tour.
- Delays or omissions made to the itinerary due to circumstances beyond the control of the tour operator are not subject to a refund
- Delays due to transportation issues or non-participation will be subject to cancellation fees. The tour will depart at the time indicated.
- Please take all your trash with you. Kamikochi is a protected natural area, and maintaining its cleanliness is essential.
- Toilets in Kamikochi require a small contribution of 100 yen to help support the maintenance of the facilities and the preservation of the environment. Please bring coins with you.

After meeting withMeet in front of the McDonald's inside Esca Shopping Mall at the West Exit (Taikodori-guchi) of JR Nagoya Station. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled meeting time. The tour conductor will be holding a flag and a placard with the local tour operator's logo.

The bus will stop at a nearby location where it is safe and convenient for passengers to disembark.

After meeting with your tour conductor at Nagoya Station, we’ll embark on a scenic journey to Kamikochi, one of Japan’s premier mountain resorts. Known for its untouched natural beauty, Kamikochi is inaccessible by private car, making it a perfect destination for those who enjoy hiking. For this tour, you’ll enjoy a mini hike along a well-maintained, unpaved path. There are 2 possible drop-off points: the iconic Taisho Pond for those seeking a more extended walk along the Azusa River (approximately 4 km, 80 mins to Kappa Bridge), or the Kamikochi Bus Terminal for those who prefer a more relaxed visit, where you can stroll around the famous Kappa Bridge area. Either way, you’ll be immersed in stunning mountain views and tranquil surroundings. It is recommended to wear comfortable hiking shoes (trekking shoes or light climbing boots) and bring a windbreaker or jacket, as temperatures can vary. A small backpack, raincoat, and sun protection (hat, sunglasses) are also recommended.
