Near the church there are various exciting plateaus where Uppsala's large long halls stood during the 500s and 800s and where various exclusive workhouses with gold, silver and all-precious stones in the form of grenades from Sri Lanka were found. If the church is open, we visit the one where we see medieval statues, frescoes from the 15th century, sacrificial log 12th century etc. This was the earliest cathedral in Sweden excluding Danish Lund, and one of the earliest beehive seats in Sweden after Sigtuna, already in the 1130s.
