Built by Rawal Jaisal in the year 1156 AD, Jaisalmer Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the group Hill Forts of Rajasthan. Visit the second oldest Fort also known as Sonar Quila or Sone ka Quila of Rajasthan in the morning with your guide who will share every bit of detail, significance and stories about the royal families. The fort has 99 bastions, from which 92 were built between 1633 and 1647. You will get to see Islamic and Rajput architecture here.
After exploring the Fort and the Havelis, now proceed towards Gadisar Lake 1 hour
After exploring the Fort and the Havelis, now proceed towards Gadisar Lake. This lake was first constructed by Raja Rawal Jaisal around 1400 AD and was later reconstructed by Maharawal Gadsi Singh, it is surrounded by many temples and shrines. It also has a desert cultural centre and a museum that stores artefacts. The other attraction that you will see here is Tilon ki Pol, which is a 2-story yellow sandstone gateway with lattices & balconies. You can do boating here at an extra cost.

Visit the 200 year’s old abandoned village Kuldhara. It is believed that due to the Diwan of Jaisalmer the villagers had to abandon the village one night and while going they cursed that no one will ever be able to settle here and whoever tried to repopulate the place has experienced paranormal activities. You can see and even enter the houses of the villagers and from the terrace; one can see the whole village. It is also a perfect spot for pictures
