Pájara, feminine pájaro, means a small bird, a sparrow. In Andalusian dialect pájara, the partridge is especially true; Andalusian settlers discovered many gray partridges in the Barranco de Pájara and gave this name to the place. We have also the church of the virgin de la regla in the Center of the agrarische village with a lot limestones and a interesting history
