Longneck Karen Village Longneck Karen is one of Karen tribes. They call themselves Padaung. It is believed that originally they came from Yunnan Province, central China. Later in 1000 AD according to the history, they migrated to Salween River Basin in Myanmar. In 1995, there were approximately 25,000 Padaungs living in Myanmar. They mainly live on traditional agricultural activities. After political incident against the minorities in Myanmar, Padaungs have evacuated from Myanmar and until now cannot fully identify where is the major location they are living in. It is believed that they scattered all over the area and co-live with other minority group that armed so that they can be protected.

Golden Triangle The wonder of Golden Triangle is the visit to 3 countries; Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos, in one place. It is 9 kilometres north of Chiang Saen along the Mekong riverside road. Sop Ruak is the place where Mekong River, the border between Thailand and Laos, meets Ruak River, the border between Thailand and Myanmar. In the past, Golden Triangle was the world's large source of drug trafficking owing to its privileged location attached to many countries. However, it is currently taken good care of and becomes a popular tourist attraction. From the viewpoint, the tourists will find the land that connects the three countries, surrounded by long and calm waterway. There is boat rental service at Sop Ruak so that the tourists can admire the view at Golden Triangle. The trip takes only 20 minutes. Besides, the tourists can rent the boat from Sop Ruak to Chiang Saen and Chiang Khong for 40 minutes and 1 hour and a half, respectively.

It is a Temple that was restored by Mr. Phutta Kabkaew or “Sala Nok”, a Local artist of Chiang Rai and a student of Achan Chalermchai Kositpipat. The temple is unusually beautiful with its unique applied arts by using a shade of blue and architectural beauty from a stucco artist. In the Ubosot, in addition to having a beautiful, unique design, there are also murals depicting the story of the Buddha’s life. It also enshrines Phra Phuttha Ratchamongkhon Bodi Trailok Nak, which means “the auspicious majestic Buddha of three worlds”. The image is very attractive and is 6.5 metres tall and has a lap width of 5 metres. Inside the image contains 88,000 Phra Rot Lamphun images, and there are rings of gold and silver plus many valuables buried under the Buddha image. In addition, the area of the head contains the Buddha’s relics, which was bestowed by Somdet Phra Sangharaja Chao Kromma Luang Vajirananasamvara.
