Visit the historic port city of Essaouira on a full-day trip from Marrakech, and spend the day exploring traditional Medina full of beautiful architecture, and Morocco’s laid-back, seaside culture. You’ll see how argan oil is extracted, and visit Essaouira’s Medina, a unesco World Heritage Site. Our first stop on the way will be at a small argan oil cooperative run by local women to learn how the Argan oil is extracted and used with the option to purchase oil direct from the producers before continuing to Essaouira. Once in Essaouira, you will have free time to explore the old Medina and the beautiful ramparts including the Sekkala, the old harbor, and fish markets, on your own and enjoy a seafood lunch in a local restaurant. Continue to the fishing port to see the fishermen selling their catch of the day. Taste fresh seafood After lunch, you can enjoy a walk along the beach and take some photos of this sand beach before driving back to Marrakech by the end of the afternoon.
