Tour Itinerary
Our first stop is a beautiful and essential... 20 minutes
Our first stop is a beautiful and essential natural oasis that supports more than 45 surrounding villages. After exploring this peaceful spot, we continue to an abandoned 18th-century village, where you will hear the fascinating story behind why the entire community mysteriously left.
Khaba Fort was built around the 13th–14th century... 20 minutes
Khaba Fort was built around the 13th–14th century by the Paliwal Brahmins, a prosperous community known for their advanced water management and farming systems in the desert. The fort served as a defensive and administrative center for nearby villages. In the early 19th century, the Paliwal community mysteriously abandoned the entire region, including Khaba Fort and villages like Kuldhara Village. According to local legends, the villagers left overnight due to oppression from a powerful minister of Jaisalmer. The real reason is still debated by historians.
From there, we continue by jeep to meet... 7 hours
From there, we continue by jeep to meet our camels and begin a relaxing camel ride across the golden sand dunes of the Thar Desert. After about an hour of riding, we arrive at a quiet spot among the dunes where we set up our camp. Enjoy snacks and traditional Indian chai while watching a breathtaking desert sunset. As the sky turns golden and the desert cools, your camel guide will prepare a freshly cooked meal over an open fire. After dinner, relax under one of the clearest night skies you will ever see. With almost no light pollution, the desert offers incredible stargazing opportunities before we return to Jaisalmer.
