Once known as Mogador, Essaouira is a coastal gem shaped by sea, wind, and history. Its medina is wrapped in old Portuguese ramparts, with cannons still guarding the ocean view. Wander its blue-shuttered alleys, taste fresh seafood by the port, and soak in the rhythm of Gnawa music. Calm, creative, and full of soul — Essaouira is a breeze you’ll never forget.
