Itinerary
Tour Itinerary
We begin at the top — literally 2 hours
We begin at the top — literally. After arriving early (before the big crowds), we’ll park above the town and start a guided walk through the castle complex (exteriors), taking in sweeping views over the rooftops and the Vltava River bens as we descend gently along a cobbled path. From there, we’ll explore what were once three separate historic towns — Latrán, the Old Town, and the Jewish Quarter. Each has its own unique vibe, and we take the time to enjoy it all. This isn’t a checklist march — we move at a relaxed, easy-going pace, stopping for photos, stories, and local insights. Along the way, we’ll discover hidden gems most tours skip — from tucked-away viewpoints to charming artisan shops and quiet corners that feel miles away from the main square. Physical demand: Easy (well-maintained paths, walking down) 2-2.5 hours ● Guided walk
After the guided walk, you’ll have plenty of... 2 hours
After the guided walk, you’ll have plenty of free time to enjoy Český Krumlov at your own pace. Whether you feel like sipping coffee by the river, wandering through hidden lanes, browsing local craft shops, taking photos, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, the time is yours. Your guide will happily recommend museums, viewpoints, cafés, scenic walks, or quiet spots based on your interests — without a fixed program or rushing from place to place. You’re free to explore what draws you most in the moment. Please note that access to castle interiors varies by season. The Castle Tower is open year-round (except Mondays), while other interiors are available only on guided tours. If you’re interested, your guide will be happy to advise on the best available options on the day. When it’s time to continue, we’ll meet at a convenient, pre-agreed spot near the center, so you won’t need to walk uphill again. Just relax — we’ll come pick you up by car. Physical demand: Easy to Moderate
We make a special stop in Holašovice —... 1 hour
We make a special stop in Holašovice — a tiny, beautifully preserved village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We spend some relaxed time here to stretch our legs and enjoy the calm atmosphere of rural South Bohemia. Your guide introduces the village’s unique layout, history, folk traditions, and everyday life, offering a quiet contrast to the bustle of Český Krumlov. On most visits, we are welcomed to a small private farmstead by a local resident whose family has lived in the village for over 500 years. He shares a modest collection of everyday farm tools and household objects used across generations, along with personal stories of village life. Please note: This private visit is led exclusively by the owner and may occasionally not be available (for example due to illness). If so, we will gladly recommend and help you visit one of the many museums in Český Krumlov instead. Easy – short walk on flat ground
