Attached to the Romney manor is the Caribelle batik. Batik is traditionally an Indonesian style of art done on the island for over 50 years by way of printing on 100% cotton. At the demonstration area one can have a first hand view of the way it’s done after walking though our lush botanical garden. Our guests would be also given the opportunity to purchase any item of batik nature all on display at the store.

In the process a narration of our history, culture parliamentary system and more is given of every landmark we pass by. This includes our picidilli circus, independence square, the war memorial, our historical churches and where evidence of our rich African heritage is evident. We then travel westward of the island while observing and learning of the island.
