Collecting you directly from your place of stay in Dublin you’ll take the more scenic east coast route towards Wicklow Goal. Spend some time tracing your Irish roots at the Wicklow Genealogy Room in Wicklow Goal.

Stop of for a bit of lunch or to purchase some world famous Throws & Blankets at Avoca Handweavers before heading on your way to Glendalough. Avoca is an Irish-run company that started as a manufacturer back in 1723. Avoca spans one of the world’s oldest surviving manufacturing companies.

Up next. The monastic city of Glendalough. Situated within the glacial valley of Glendalough, the monastic city, founded in the 6th Century by St. Kevin has been visited throughout history for its mystical temptations. Take some time to explore the grounds and see its unique wildlife. The Round Tower and Monuments provide a great opportunity to get some memorable photographs.

By taking your guide’s advice on duration you should still have time to visit The Powerscourt Estate. Powerscourt gardens also known as the “Garden of Ireland” were recently voted No.3 in the World’s Top Ten Gardens by National Geographic. Stretching over 47 acres the gardens offer a sublime blend of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statues, ornamental lakes, secret hollows and rambling walks. The gardens were established and have been designed from 1731 onwards.
