Itinerary
welcome to the amazon
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome from... 12 hours
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome from a native family living along the river—people who have rarely seen the city of Manaus and sustain themselves entirely from their pineapple plantation, which you’ll later have the chance to visit. You’ll travel by boat deep into the river to a secluded area where you’ll set up camp. The exact location may vary depending on tides and season. Once settled, you’ll work together with your hosts to build your sleeping area, learning how to hang hammocks and secure mosquito nets like the locals do. After setting up camp, you’ll gather wood to start a fire and prepare your first meal together—a true Amazonian experience shared with those who call this extraordinary land home.
Fishing & Sunset Birdwatching
Get ready to dive into one of the wildest fishing adventures of your life 12 hours
Get ready to dive into one of the wildest fishing adventures of your life! Guided by local experts, you’ll learn how to catch piranha — yes, delicious piranha! Once you’ve made your catch, your guide will show you how to clean and prepare the fish before it’s cooked over a charcoal fire in true Amazonian style. After your fishing session, take a moment to relax as the sun begins to set over the river. This is the perfect time for birdwatching, as the forest comes alive with color and sound. With a bit of luck (and most of our guests do get lucky!), you’ll spot some of the Amazon’s most spectacular birds — toucans, macaws, hummingbirds, hoatzins, parrots, kingfishers, and motmots, and if fortune truly smiles upon you, even the majestic Harpy Eagle. With over 1,500 bird species calling the Amazon Basin home, this experience is a paradise for nature lovers and birdwatchers alike.
Day 3 – Dolphins, Caimans & Night Hunting Adventure
The third day begins with a river expedition... 12 hours
The third day begins with a river expedition alongside your native guide in a small Indios boat. You’ll learn how to call out to two species of river dolphins—the playful pink dolphins and sleek grey dolphins—as well as spot caimans gliding silently through the water. Your guide will teach you how to mimic animal sounds, an ancient technique used by local tribes to attract wildlife for observation and photography. As night falls, the adventure deepens. You’ll begin night fishing close to the riverbanks using a traditional spear, catching fish as they rest in shallow waters. After a short break, the true jungle experience continues with a guided night hunt, where you might encounter fascinating nocturnal creatures such as armadillos, capybaras, and tapirs—some of which the locals may prepare as a traditional dinner if caught. This day offers one of the most authentic and thrilling encounters with the wild—a glimpse into how the Amazon’s true guardians live, survive, and respect nature.
Day 4 – Living with the Locals
On your final day, you’ll meet the local... 12 hours
On your final day, you’ll meet the local family, share meals, and spend the night at their home. Don’t expect Hilton-style comfort—this is real Indios life: no internet, no TV, just pure connection. It’s a chance to disconnect from the busy world and appreciate the simple, joyful way they live. Their smiles and endless positivity will leave you truly inspired. In the afternoon, you’ll visit their pineapple plantation and see firsthand how they sustain themselves from the land. After returning, enjoy some time to relax before sharing a homemade dinner together. You’ll sleep in their humble rooms, surrounded by the sounds of the Amazon. Remember—this experience is about gratitude and authenticity, not luxury.
Day 5 – Return to Manaus
Wake up and enjoy breakfast together before beginning... 6 hours
Wake up and enjoy breakfast together before beginning your journey back to Manaus. Your guide will take you to the same spot where you were picked up four days earlier, where a van will be waiting to bring you back to the city.
