Stordal village is the administrative center of the local commune. We drive a steep mountain road and stop at a charming lake - Eidsvatnet (425 meters above sea level), which is known as a good lake for fishing. This place offers stunning views of endless meadows with farms. Eidsdal is an agricultural village. Most farmers produce milk from cows and goats. There are several camping (glampings), cabins and room rentals available.

At the topmost bend is the road's most impressive viewpoint, Ørnesvingen, which offers stunning views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Geirangerfjord.
