Stop for photos at the panoramic viewpoint with stunning views of Storfjord, where the Geirangerfjord begins, and explore the salmon farm and town of Stranda.

Stordal village is the administrative center of the local commune. We drive a steep mountain road and stop at a charming lake - Eidsvatnet (425 meters above sea level), which is known as a good lake for fishing. This place offers stunning views of endless meadows with farms. Eidsdal is an agricultural village. Most farmers produce milk from cows and goats. There are several camping (glampings), cabins and room rentals available.

The steepest section of the road is called Eagle's Flight, as navigating its eleven hairpin bends at 620 meters (2,030 ft) above sea level is a bit like flying through the air. At the topmost bend is the road's most impressive viewpoint, Ørnesvingen, which offers stunning views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Geirangerfjord. We will drive along this stunning road twice and you will have the opportunity to fully enjoy the beautiful views.
