We will drive from Kigali, Rwanda to Bwindi National Park in Uganda. The drive to Uganda will go through the land border of Cyanika and will take 5 hours.
Gorilla Trekking Adventure at Bwindi National Park
You will head to the Bwindi national park... 6 hours
You will head to the Bwindi national park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will conduct the briefing and cover the basics on what to expect during the trek. At this point, you will be told which gorilla family to trek. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take from a few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. After the gorilla trek, return to the lodge for an evening rest.
Golden Monkey Trek at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Golden monkey trekking (morning) 5 hours
Golden monkey trekking (morning). Trek the Golden Monkeys in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. This trip will take you to trek the golden monkeys, an endemic species of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in southwestern Uganda. You will enter the forest and walk through the bamboo vegetation and a variety of indigenous plants like giant lobelia. During the trip, your national park guide will tell you about the history of the national park and the fauna and flora that the park holds. The golden monkey trek should take about 5 hours. After golden monkey trekking transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening of relaxation.

This will be a half day experience of learning about how the chimps are trained to get familiar with human experience. You will be guided on the trek by Uganda Wildlife Authority staff. If time permits after the trek, there are complementary activities to do, including community walks and visiting the Bigodi swamp sanctuary.
