You continue through the subtropical rainforests, located at the foothills of the Andean mountains, and then you arrive to Baeza, that is located in between three important national parks: Antisana, Sumaco-Napo-Galeras and Cayambe-Coca. You will have a little break while you enjoy lunch in the village.

Then you continue towards the “Macao's viewpoint”, from where you can appreciate a huge green carpet with exuberant Amazon's vegetation! In the afternoon you will arrive to Itamandi Lodge where you will stay the first memorable overnight! After having dinner, your tour guide will escort you on a night walk to get used to this new environmet, sounds and creatures...

After having breakfast you will do a walk into a primary tropical rainforest, that is how you begin your adventure journey! During your walk in the jungle, you'll enjoy the incredible landscape of the Amazon rainforest! You'll learn all about the fascinating vegetation and its local uses, as well to have a great taste about how to make a living on this extreme conditions.
Then you'll do one of the most popular... 3 hours
Then you'll do one of the most popular adventure sports, well-known as “tubbing”, through the Arajuno River! You'll visit a Kichwa community to learn all about the daily life of this fascinating remote region! After your morning adventure, you'll go back to the Lodge to have lunch. You have the rest of the afternoon free to relax and enjoy the lodge's facilities, viewpoints and its wildlife! At night you'll share your experiences at the living room, which is located next to the bar!

After having breakfast, your next destination is Puyo,... 1 hour
After having breakfast, your next destination is Puyo, where you will learn all about the famous wooden-carvings made out in balsa wood.

Continuing with your trip you can't miss the well-known and famous “Avenue of the Waterfalls”, with impressive cascades as “Pailón del Diablo”, where you will walk through narrow trails and hanging bridges, until you arrive to the 72-meters waterfall, that gives you the opportunity to enjoy three more waterfalls!
You'll have time for lunch 2 hours
You'll have time for lunch. Going back to the Andes, you'll stop to take a ride on the 500-meters-long cable car, which gives us the privilege to admire another beautiful waterfall called “Manto de la Novia”! Then if you like challenges, you can decide to take a zipline tour, or a swing jump, or maybe you would like to walk through a "Tibetan bridge"!!

After all this life experiences, you'll drive through several tunnels built inside the mountains until you arrive to the “Agoyán waterfall”, where you can already breed again the fresh Andean air.

In this city, full of magic and adventure, you will have time to rest and relax in one of the different SPA that Baños offers; also you'll have time for shopping, unless you decide to do walks, scorted by your tour guide, through well-marked footpaths in secondary rainforests, or practice adventure sports, such as white water river rafting, canyoning, horseback riding, paragliding, biking, etc. All of these options will be done around the foothills of the worldwide-known and majestic “Tungurahua Volcano” (5.016 m - 16,456 ft) that has been in activity since 1999!
Cotopaxi Adventure - Back to Quito
