Day 1: Transfer from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi, Game Drive + Masai visit. You will be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam in the morning and start the journey to Mikumi National Park. The drive takes approximately 6 to 7 hours through beautiful landscapes and local villages. Upon arrival in Mikumi, you will start game drive and have lunch inside the park. Explore different areas of the park and enjoy sightings of wildlife such as lions, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, and various bird species. In the evening, you will visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditional way of life. Return to the Camp Bastian for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, depart Mikumi and drive to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), a journey of about 6 to 7 hours through scenic landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and later enjoy a relaxing sunset boat safari along the Rufiji River — a chance to spot hippos, crocodiles, birds, and possibly elephants by the riverbanks. Dinner and overnight at the Selous Safari lodge.
