Itinerary
Welcome -Hwange- Sunset and night game drive in Hwange NP
You will be picked up from the hotel... 8 hours
You will be picked up from the hotel at Victoria Falls and transferred to Hwange National Park where you will check in at Gwango Heritage Resort. A welcome game drive will be awaiting you in the Gwango Estate. After dinner, you will go for elephant tracking by moonlight at 20h30.
Safari feast: Full day Game drive in Hwange National Park
Wake up and have your breakfast at the lodge 8 hours
Wake up and have your breakfast at the lodge. We will then drive you through the Painted Dog Sanctuary where you will get useful information about these incredible species. From there, you go to Hwange National Park where you can enjoy the Jeep safari into the rich park where you get exposed to over 100 mammal species and the world’s largest elephant population. You will also see the other Big 5 animals namely lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino, as well as 2 additions, hippo and crocodile. Hwange National Park is also home to over 400 bird species. Lunch is served on the pitched camping site inside the park. The game drive will end in the evening as you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Wrap up: early morning safari & Banambya cultural tour
On the last day, we do a wrap-up... 4 hours
On the last day, we do a wrap-up game drive at 05h45 in an effort to spot anything we missed on the previous game drives. We drive for 3 hours before we go back to the lodge for breakfast. We expect to leave the lodge at around 11h00, passing through BaNambya for a cultural tour to learn and appreciate the African culture. After the cultural tour, you will be picked up and transferred to Victoria Falls Airport which we expect to reach at around 18h00.
