The scenery becomes more untamed as you approach Gir; there are dusty grasslands, prickly acacia groves, and the occasional peacock dancing by the side of the road. Arrive by 3PM

Afternoon Safari You get into your safari jeep as the afternoon draws near. Sunlight is shrouding the forest. Then it may happen—a lioness could appear through the long grass, her amber eyes briefly meeting yours. A pride of lions, unconcerned, majestic, and immortal, sleeps beneath an acacia not far away. As the safari navigates paths where antelopes gracefully leap and leopards hide, your heart races.
